The Grand Inquisitor On The Current Election & Economic Crisis

Miracles, mystery, authority–that’s what all men seek on this earth, so speaketh The Grand Inquisitor. With their bail-out plan regressively redistributive hail mary pass, the Fed and Treasury have done their best to create the illusion of the first two in a matter of days. Both presidential candidates are now fighting for the impression of mastering the third over the long haul. And so the Inquisitor says unto all politicians, all those demagogues in the making, to remember his three tenets for what the electorate want:

  • Someone to bow down to
  • Someone to take over his conscience
  • And a means for uniting everyone at last into a common, concordant and incontestable ant hill.
